A beautiful A5 concertina sketchbook made with heavyweight, handmade cotton rag paper.

Inside are 18 continuous folded pages (36 sides) of 250gsm, 100% cotton paper, with a lovely mid-surface texture and naturally deckled edges. Because every sheet is individually handmade, you’ll find small variations in the texture, size and shape of the paper – all part of what makes these books so lovely to work in.

The paper works particularly well with watercolour and other wet media, as well as pencil, charcoal, pastel and mixed media. The continuous concertina format also means you can work across several pages at once, or gradually build one long piece as you fill the book.

Each sketchbook is casebound in a naturally dyed indigo blue hard cover and finished with an elastic strap, making it a lovely sturdy book to take out and about.

Handmade in Northern India by local artisans using 100% recycled cotton rag paper. The paper is acid free.

Please note: if using oil paints, the paper will need to be prepared with gesso first.
