ABOUT US

Timeline 1_03_29_13_05.jpg

Marigold Moth is a Penzance based sustainacle clothing shop and studios co-founded by my mother and I in 2024.

We work predominantly with vintage and antique textiles to create contemporary garments. A lot of what we sell in the shop is made in our studio upstairs. We are also lucky enough to work with a some female cooperatives in Morrocco and wonderful mills in Jaipur to source and create other pieces in our seasonal collections. We are a family run business with my Dad working behind the counter and my brother helping out with DIY.

TEAGAN PHAROAH-GREEN

After studying Costume Design at the London College of Fashion, Teagan moved back to St. Ives and set up the sustainable clothing label, Fierce Flora in 2020. Teagan designs two seasonal collections a year. These consist of a variety of garments, some made from antique textiles in her Penzance-based studio, and some block printed and handmade in Jaipur, India.

In addition to this, Teagan manages the design and production of several collaborative clothing collections per year for various other independent womenswear labels. Teagan is also a freelance magazine editor and enjoys guest lecturing at various colleges and universities.

MAXINE PHAROAH

After studying textiles at Winchester school of art, Maxine went on to design prints for a range of American and Japanese clothing companies. After an inspiring trip to Charleston Farmhouse and influenced by the wonderful Bloomsbury group, she then set up her own business hand painting a variety of children’s gifts.

Over the years Maxine’s work evolved back to textiles and since moving to Cornwall in 2009 she has focused on cashmere knitwear. After many happy years in a studio in St Ives, Maxine co-founded Marigold Moth and continues to work with various embroidery techniques and vintage textiles.
